Down on the Farm

Lately, I have been feeling like I live on a farm in the middle of the city with eight chickens in the backyard and all. Anyway, we are working on making our backyard more "green" thanks to an article from my friend, Lisa. The chickens are getting an upgrade to a chicken condo. Peter is hard at work building an improved coop. The chickens have rewarded him with an egg for the past two days. They are the first. It is pretty cool. Also, one of the roosters in starting to crow. Sadly, he will have to go. We can't have roosters in the city. Now, if I could just get Peter to buy me a horse.

Anticipating a week on the city farm reminds me of spending a week with Camille who was responsible for feeding her bunny rabbit. The bunny rabbit's pen was at the top of the tree house........it was an interesting week and I'm not sure the bunny survived without Camille's Dad's care! Disclaimer - I don't know anything about city ordinances and roosters! Love, Auntie

I can't wait to see the new chicken condos! I am glad the acticle inspired Peter. You guys are just one project after another around there! I bet those eggs are going to be the best tasting eggs you have ever had!
