All I want for Mother's Day is a glue stick. Those things are super handy. You can use them for just about anything with little mess. Tonight, at the ER, I discovered a new use. Grayson tried on some of his sister's tights (with my help) and fell down on the hardwood floor only to bust his chin open. Off to the ER. I called Peter at work where he always happens to be when we need to go to the ER. "Umm, hey, Grayson busted his chin I'm going to Children's. We're fine." An hour later, I left another message to say that he should just finish working I had it no problem. So we played in the ER waiting room for about an hour and a half with no food. They wouldn't let G eat until they assessed the wound. It, of course, happened at dinner time. We went in and the Nurse Practioner checked him out, immediately. She said that it was the perfect case for glue, no stitches. So, she taped and glued him up. Lillian assisted. I am not kidding. She kept telling him "it would only hurt a little bit and to look up." The Nurse Practioner was great and gave them popsicles when it was over. It wasn't a big deal at all. I did, however, think to myself that I needed one of those handy, dandy gluesticks like she had. Then I could just glue them up and send them back to play.
