Sweet nothings

The children have the most tendor moments. The other day Grayson hurt his hand and stuck it out for Lillian to kiss. She did, then he held it out to me.

They are dying to sleep in the bunk bed together. I humored them with a couple of attempts. We started with Lillian alone on top and Grayson on the bottom. He wants the top bunk. Lillian moved down to the bottom bunk with Grayson. He continually got up and didn't seem to get the concept of going to sleep. I put him back in his crib. Lillian started crying and said, "But mama, he was holding my hand." (I think that is about the sweetest thing ever.)

Just to remind you and me that this is not the gloryland with perfect children over here. I overheard Lillian tell Grayson, "Just jump, buddy." Off the top bunk. I interevened, but I think he might have done it. He seems to have no fear.

He has no fear because you intervened. Just let him do it once, make sure you have a phone and a first aid kit on hand, and he'll have a healthy respect for heights from then on. Just kidding; don't do that.

I was touched this morning also when the boys held each others arms during breakfast. I hope they like each other when they grow up.

Yes...I learned early on in our marriage that the Maynor boys LOVE to jump from high places. Andrew said he and his brothers used to climb onto their roof and jump off!I told him that if I ever caught him teaching our kids that I would kill him! Good luck Mel!
