Too Loud, Mama, Too Loud

We have spent the 4th, 5th and 6th of July working hard on our house. We bought new patio furniture for our patio, painted and re-screened the porch, painted the porch furniture, purchased a sewing machine for me and enjoyed having Peter all to ourselves. Peter was off for four days in a row and it was wonderful. We enjoyed being together and working on the house. While we think it looks much better, our friends, the Pearsons, may notice that we have not seriously cleaned all summer. The mad dash to finish home improvement projects was prompted by the impending visit from the Pearsons. They arrrive on Wednesday and no Maynor can really wait for it. Now that they have a little boy, each Maynor has a friend to look forward to visiting. Since the Pearsons know us well and love us, they will not be surprised to find dirt under the couch, but very happy people. We have had lots of fun getting ready and enjoying Peter. We skipped church, today, and went to Scott Air Force base for our first air show. It was very fun and very hot. Grayson spent all afternoon telling me the jets were too loud, mama, too loud. All in all, it has been a great vacation like week for our family. We have done some fun things and gotten some things done. Look for fun pictures of my sewing projects and pictures with the Pearsons in the next two weeks.
