The zoo

Well, we survived our trip to the zoo with two four year olds, a two year old and a one year old. To be honest, it wasn't bad at all. It was lots of fun. We put about four layers on each of them, packed up and walked outside. It was not quite as cold as we thought. I think Peter was the most upset for he confessed to having on two pair of pants. This is a weird thing he often does in the winter and it usually backfires. Susan had kindly loaned us the mini-van. We loaded up and were off. It seems that the boys were more in to wild animals. Grayson roared at the tiger and wanted to ride the tiger on the carousel. Max and Briggs picked monkeys. Lillian had to have the caterpillar. She was mainly interested in birds: flamingos, penguins, etc. The boys all liked tigers, bears and dark tunnels on the train ride. They all really enjoyed brushing the goats in the petting zoo. We did more riding of things than looking at animals, but that was really fun. By noon, we were heading home and they were all exhausted. We really didn't do that much of the zoo. I am pretty sure that they all had a great time. We did. I don't think we are ready to hit Disney world. Maybe when we can do a whole day at the zoo we will be ready.
