We have been so busy with the end of the school year and such that blogging has been tossed to the side. However, a week ago Monday Grayson had a big and blog worthy event. He is off on Mondays and we were cooking for my book club. He was sitting on the counter helping me. He set his hand down on blade of the food processor that I had just sitting on the counter. He got a serious slice. Ouch! He was upset and there was blood. I called my friend Rachel who lives downstairs for some mommy back up. Good thing. Grayson fainted as we were bandaging it up. Thankfully, Rachel was holding him. I waited for Peter to come home to decide if we should get stitches. We had our doctor take a look. He needed stitches for sure. The best part of this whole thing is that we found our place for stitches. We hit an urgent care near our house. We loved the doctor and it was MUCH cheaper and faster than the ER. So, two stitches and a hand splint to keep it safe later we were on our way. We made it home 45 minutes before book club. Grayson was super brave and the doctor said he grazed his tendon. It could have been so much worse. Clearly, God wants me to good at stitches this is my 4th round with the kiddos.
So, Grayson is on the injured reserve from t-ball for two weeks. Somehow, stitches made him faster and braver. They have not slowed him even one bit.
P.S. G got a serious summer cut. The other picture is G and his best friend Jack at their first t-ball game.
