Backseat driver

The kids and I were driving home from Bible study the other night. I am sure I was reflected on the Bible study and not watching my speed. I was doing thirty-five in a thirty.

M: Uh-oh, cop!
L: What mama?
M: Well, I just saw a police officer and I realized I was speeding. I hope he isn't going to give me a ticket.
L: A ticket?
M: I was doing something wrong and he might get on to me about it.

No ticket. The next day we had this little conversation....

L: Mama, are you driving fast?
M: No, not really.
L: Mama, are you doing something wrong?
